Retraction Cord

A Retraction Cord is a thin, braided or knitted thread used in restorative and prosthodontic dentistry to temporarily retract (push away) the gingival tissue (gum) from around a tooth. This creates a clear, dry, and accessible area for procedures such as taking impressions, crown preparations, and placing restorations.
