Aneroid Blood Pressure (BP) Machine

The aneroid BP machine consists of a cuff, inflation bulb, air release valve, and a dial gauge (manometer). The cuff is wrapped around the patient’s upper arm and inflated manually using the rubber bulb to temporarily stop blood flow. The healthcare provider then listens with a stethoscope over the brachial artery to determine systolic and diastolic pressures as the air is slowly released.
