Dextrose 50% (D50W)

Dextrose 50%, also called D50W (50% dextrose in water), is a highly concentrated, hypertonic IV glucose solution used primarily for rapid correction of severe hypoglycemia and in certain emergency situations where immediate glucose delivery is needed.
