Chromic Catgut is a natural absorbable suture prepared from the submucosal layer of sheep intestine or serosal layer of bovine intestine, treated with chromium salts to delay absorption and reduce tissue reactivity.
It is widely used for internal soft tissue approximation where temporary wound support is required.
